Board of Directors

The Treaty Land Entitlement Committee (“TLEC”) of Manitoba Inc. is governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of five (5) individuals elected from and by TLEC’s Voting Members pursuant to TLEC’s By-Law.
The TLEC Board of Directors leads and guides the policies, objectives and strategic direction of the TLEC.
Directors are voted in by TLEC’s Voting Members every two years at TLEC’s Annual General Meetings.
Chief Nelson Genaille
President
Chief Nelson Genaille is from the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation (“SCN”) and is the former TLE Community Coordinator for SCN. He has served on the TLEC Board of Directors since 2001 and is currently serving his second consecutive term as President. As President, he represents TLEC on the Senior Advisory Committee, a high-level over-sight committee that is mandated under the Manitoba TLE Framework Agreement and consists of the Regional Director General of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (Manitoba Region) and the Deputy Minister of Manitoba Aboriginal and Northern Affairs.
Paul Chief
Vice-President
Paul Chief is a Councillor from the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation (“BON”) and is BON’s appointed representative on the TLEC. He is also TLEC’s Representative on the Implementation Monitoring Committee (“IMC”), which is generally responsible for facilitating and monitoring the implementation of the Manitoba TLE Framework Agreement and consists of appointed representatives from Canada and Manitoba and an Independent Chairperson selected by the Senior Advisory Committee.
Herman Green
Secretary-Treasurer
Herman Green is a Councillor from the Buffalo Point First Nation (BPFN”) and is also the TLE Community Coordinator and Lands Manager for the BPFN. He was first elected to the TLEC Board on March 30, 2011, and was recently appointed Secretary-Treasurer on December 15, 2011.
Craig Audy
Board Director
Craig Audy is the Chairperson of the TLE Trustees in Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation (“WSFN”) and is also the TLE Community Coordinator for WSFN. He was appointed to the TLEC Board on October 25, 2011.
Lori Lathlin
Board Director
Lori Lathlin is a Councillor from the Opaskwayak Cree Nation (“OCN”) and is also the TLE Community Coordinator for OCN, a position she has held for the past eight (8) years. She was appointed to the TLEC Board on December 15, 2011.
